Lake

We took the boat out to the lake for the afternoon to make sure everything was functioning right after de-winterizing and cleaning it. I already knew Holden was a fan of seeing other boats but got to witness it first hand today. He was mesmerized by every boat we passed pointing and jabbering in excitement. Original idea was to just go out for a short time and leave to make it home in time for his afternoon nap. After dodging a rain shower, leaving a little later than planned and being a ways away from the boat ramp that didn't happen. The weather ended up being fabulous and we stayed longer which was evidently ok with Holden, but resulted in him fighting his nap. A little after his normal afternoon nap time, he walked to his bag and got his paci and blanket. He proceeded to sit in Justin's lap then mine then his then mine until he passed out....for a short nap...which made for a slightly edgy evening and earlier than normal bedtime. Moral of the story Holden loved being on the boat, Holden loved going to the lake, and we loved that he wore his life jacket the whole time with no fussing!!!

One of his favorite places to sit in driver's seat with or without anyone in it...he already was working the throtle, stearing, turning the radio stations and beeping the horn.

Nap...my favorite part of the day....I'm by far soaking up every.single.solitare.second. of this and not caring about all the drool and sweat going on under that blanket !!!!!!!
