Halloween

So our plans for Halloween got a little washed out. I wasn't too concerned since Holden really didn't have an idea of what this night really consists of plus we have no intentions of allowing him to eat a bunch a candy. We have talked to him about saying trick or treat and wearing his lion costume but he showed no interest....until he went to his first house. Our plan was to do what we did last year..."hayride" with kids in the neighborhood since its too much for the little ones to walk. Instead we did dinner with 2 other couples and were going to only go to 2 houses....until Holden began to say more trick-a-treat over and over. Although we did go to more than 2 houses we only spent a short time out in the rain. He got some candy for daddy to have in his truck, but before he handed it over he got to pour it all and look through and pick 1 piece to enjoy. He picked a sucker! I am excited that he now knows a little about what this night is but am also glad that at this point it is not anything that he is OVERLY wound up for !
